Requesting a Computer

October 2022
We have paused taking applications whilst we catch up with the backlog of applications from late summer.
Please return in November to apply then. Thank you

You have indicated you are an Organisation making this application.

Step 3: Are you, as the organisation, the intended Recipient?

Most of the applications for computers made by schools/organisations we receive, are for members of the public to use - the people they care for/help/know.

However, we also very much support taking applications from an organisation who may need computers themselves, if they meet certain criteria.

Please note, we do not supply laptops to profit-motivated companies or organisations.

Is your organisation the 'intended Recipient' of the laptop(s)?
(ie. Will the laptop(s) will be used in your offices by your own staff?)
Please choose a button to answer, thanks.

You have indicated that you are

  • An organisation, agency or school

  • Applying on behalf of someone else...

  • ...who is a private individual

Step 4: Please pick the scenario that best describes the situation

We have different application forms, depending upon what the scenario is.

Please read the following four scenarios and pick the right button that represents the situation.

  • You are a worker, volunteer or host from a recognised public support agency/community group (like the Taunton  Host Families group)

  • and you are wanting to apply for a laptop for a refugee (or refugee family)

  • who have already arrived in the UK.

Please note - you can only apply for a laptop in this scenario once the refugee/family has arrived here and is living at a UK address in our local area.

Or...

  • You are a school employee, or an worker/volunteer from a recognised public support agency/community group

  • and you are wanting to apply for a laptop for a child (or children in a family)  who are aged 17 or under

  • and are the recipient is/are UK citizen(s).

This includes if you are applying for a computer for a family, where at least one child age 17 or under is going to be a primary user of the laptop, alongside other members of the family in the same household.

Or...

  • You are a college employee, or an worker from a recognised public support agency/community group

  • and you are wanting to apply for a laptop for an adult (aged 18 up)

  • who is a UK citizen.

Or...

  • Our situation doesn't really match the above scenarios

Please note that we cannot take applications from an organisation on behalf of different organisation who are the intended recipient of any computers.

An organisation wanting laptops for themselves must apply directly, not via another organisation or agency.

You have indicated that you are

  • An organisation, agency or school

  • Applying on for computers for...

  • ...your own staff to use in your offices.

Step 4: Are you a Not For Profit organisation?

We will happily take applications from a non-profit based organisation who need laptop(s) to help run their organisation, if there are mitigating circumstances.

For example, we have supplied laptops to a youth charity. We will support back to work schemes where a not for profit organisation needs laptops in their centre for clients to use when they come to search for work, for example.

Please note, we do not supply laptops to profit-motivated companies or organisations.

Please choose a button to answer, thanks.
Is your organisation a recognised not-for-profit institution of some kind?

A different situation?

You have indicated your situation is different to the scenarios we have listed.

We might still be able to help, but in the first instance please contact us using our general contact for to tell us about your scenario and we will be in touch to take the conversation forward. Thanks.
